5x10 Double A Excel Series ELP Dump
Trailer Specs
5 x 10 Double A Excel Series ELP 5K Dump Trailer – Ready To Work!
KEY STANDARD FEATURES
6" Channel Main Frame & 10-Gauge Steel Floor The ELP is built on a heavy 6" structural channel frame with a thick 10-gauge one-piece steel floor.
The Benefit: Structural channel is more flexible than tube but stronger than formed steel, making it ideal for dump trailers that experience high-stress "twisting" during off-level dumping. The 10-gauge floor is roughly 40% thicker than 12-gauge, resisting dents from heavy rocks and debris.
7-Ton Heavy-Duty Scissor Hoist Standard on the 14k models is a premium 7-ton scissor lift hoist powered by a KTI electric/hydraulic pump.
The Benefit: A scissor hoist offers significantly more stability during the dump cycle than a single-ram cylinder. It pushes from the center of the box to prevent the frame from racking and ensures a smooth, powerful lift every time.
-65°C Arctic Rated Wiring Harness Like all Double A products, the ELP features a specialized wiring harness designed for extreme cold.
The Benefit: Standard trailer wiring turns brittle and snaps in freezing temperatures. This Arctic-rated cord stays flexible and functional down to -65°C, ensuring your lights and brakes work perfectly during mid-winter job sites.
10-Gauge Preformed Sills (Low-Pro Design) Double A uses 10-gauge preformed sills to mount the box to the frame.
The Benefit: This lowers the floor of the trailer by approximately 4 inches compared to traditional designs. A lower floor means a lower center of gravity for safer highway towing and a shallower ramp angle for loading skid steers.
3-Way Multi-Function End Gate The rear features a heavy-duty gate that functions as double barn doors, a spreader gate, and a traditional tailgate.
The Benefit: This gives you total versatility. You can lock the doors back to dump bulky brush, use the spreader chains to lay a perfect layer of gravel, or drop the gate down to load equipment.
7' Heavy-Duty Slide-In Ramps Every ELP comes standard with 7-foot ramps stored in a lockable cabinet underneath the bed.
The Benefit: The extra length (7' vs the industry standard 6') combined with the low-profile deck height provides a very gentle incline, making it easy to load "low-pro" equipment like pavers or scissor lifts.
PERFECT FOR
The Double A ELP is the "Gold Standard" for professional landscapers, roofers, and excavation contractors in cold-weather regions. It is the ideal dual-purpose trailer for someone who needs to haul a 10,000 lb skid steer in the morning and dump 5 tons of gravel in the afternoon.
WHY THE DOUBLE A ELP IS THE NORTHERN WORKHORSE
TOUGH: Built for Real Work These trailers are manufactured in Alberta, Canada. From the 6-step powder coat finish to the heat-treated Douglas Fir sideboards, every part is chosen to withstand road salt and sub-zero temperatures.
CONVENIENCE: Wireless Remote & 110V Charger The ELP often comes standard with a wireless remote for the hoist and a 110V integrated inverter charger, so your battery stays topped up even when the trailer is parked for the weekend.
PROTECTION: Stake Pockets & Rub Rail The 3/16" preformed stake pockets and full-length rub rail allow you to add high sideboards easily and provide nearly infinite points for securing equipment.
